Responsibilities
Children’s Support Specialists will provide direct, front-line support to clients in their home or in the community. Depending on the needs of the individual, Children’s Support Specialists may be required to provide behavioural supports, emotional supports, personal care, home maintenance (including cooking and laundry), medication administration, support with community activities (including educational classes, volunteer work, leisure and social activities), or other specialized supports as needed. Typical shifts during the week may include evening shifts (2pm-10pm) and overnight shifts (9pm-9am). Typical weekend shifts could include day and evening shifts (9am-3pm, 3pm-9pm or 9am-9pm) and overnight shifts (9pm-9am).
Typical Schedule
We have several shifts available to suit all lifestyles! Shifts typically fall between 15:00-21:00 and 09:00-21:00 (weekends) and 21:00-09:00 (overnights). We have shifts during weekdays, weekends, and overnight, though preference will be given to those with weekend availability. Daytime shifts are also offered on Fridays and during school breaks. We offer a variety of full-time, part-time, and relief opportunities, with the option to pick up additional shifts. We support individuals in all quadrants of the city (NE, NW, SE, SW).

Compensation
The wage for this position is based on education and experience and ranges from $19.38-$20.21/hour.
